PRAYER FOR THE NEW YEAR

By Elizabeth Searle Lamb

Dear God, let there be

new beginnings in my life

to match the beginning of this new year.

Let there be new health

in my body and new strength

to fill my waking hours,

a new peacefulness to sleep.

Let all the old loves

now be renewed in joy

while the old problems

fade with the fading year.

Dear God, let there be happy surprises now

to match the fresh sun’s rising

in this new year!

FROM THE EAST

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

It is amazing how quickly the calendar has turned to 2010.   We begin a new year with the hope that everyone enjoyed their Christmas season with family and friends.

We would  like to thank those who brought in gifts for the children at St. Vincent’s in Fall River.  When I delivered them, they were very appreciative of  our support.

This year will be a busy one.  We are planning a fundraiser and we will be doing an open meeting at a Masonic lodge of instruction.  It is our vision to make others aware of our purpose and to gain support from the local communities. We hope everyone will join and work towards these great goals and that we may do this while enjoying the company of good friends and laughter.

            In Star Love,

     Alison and Andy
