VISION STATEMENT

Aurora Chapter will be recognized as an organization that provides a strong energetic environment for members to share fellowship and fun, provide service to others and the community, and support charitable organizations.

AURORA CHAPTER NO. 9

Organized on May 10, 1878

Natick

Aurora Chapter, the first Chapter chartered by the Grand Chapter of Massachusetts, has been in existence since 1878.  It was organized at at time when women's group activities were restricted largely to cultural clubs and Ladies' Aid Societies.  The name doubtless alludes to The Order generally and to the Chapter specifically as represented "the Dawn of a New Day."  Aurora can be translated as Dawn, Beginning or The New Light.
