TO OUR ABSENT, DISTANT AND SHUT-IN MEMBERS:

                                    by Nancy J. Ness

Is friendship really "give and take"? – I think that's just a ruse.
To me it seems when this is so – Imbalance is the rule.
Concessions dos't the giver make – The taker covets fare
Friendship’s awry before you know – You just forgot to share.
So be apprised, there's much at stake – In years you've yet to live
The only way friendship shall grow – Is when it's "give and give".

THINKING OF YOU

Let’s continue to remember our children in the military, and our sisters and brothers who are experiencing difficult times.  Please let the Worthy Matron or Carol McKenzie know of any news regarding our members and their loved ones.  If you need a ride to attend our meetings, please call as well.

FROM THE SECRETARY’S DESK

Summer has finally arrived, and we’ll all be enjoying the warm months in the sun.  If anyone has anything to add to our summer/fall schedule, please contact Debbie or me so that we can include it in our calendar.  I’ll be thinking of each and every one of you as I don my gypsy hat and travel a bit.

With Love to All,

Nancy

FROM THE WEST

Otis and I would like to thank everyone in the chapter for your support.  We look forward to working with you all this year, helping to make this a fun and prosperous year for the Chapter. We are working on details for the next Lobster Roll Sale and Street Fair. We know it can only be successful with the positive attitude our Chapter has. Everyone is always so willing to lend hearts and hands to our endeavors and we really appreciate it.

Bright Blessings

Lisa And Otis

FROM THE EAST

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

We are well on our way into the 08'-09' Centennial year!  We will have many important, fun, and exciting things to look forward to.  Please make a point to be a part of as much as you can!  Our first event will be a potluck supper before the June meeting.  If you signed up to bring something, thank you!  There will be other events going on through the summer months and we will be working with Nancy to get out a calendar of events soon after the June meeting.  We will need to work on the Grand Officers Night we will be sponsoring in September and don't forget that our Official Visitation will be in November!

David & I wish you all a fun filled summer full of family, friends and good times!

In Star Love & Service,

Debbie and David

Good Will

Falmouth

Many names were considered and the members tried to find a name that had something in common with other things in the town.  There is a park given to the town that is named Good Will.  So the members discussed this name for the Chapter and decided that good will was one of the principle things for which any Easter Star Chapter strives.  It is emphasized that the Chapter was not named for the Good Will Park.  The name was selected because of the meaning of the words.
