“good will” from our chapter committees:

packages for the troops

Please bring items for our next batch of packages for the 12 soldiers we currently have on our list.

cell phones for soldiers - Update: We collected 9 old cell phones! We shipped the phones to Cell Phones for Soldiers on December 14, 2011 with a request for Cell Phones for Soldiers to send calling cards to the soldiers we are currently sending packages to (12) and to the one soldier that Cortez Allen Chapter is sending to, all from the Falmouth Military Support Group list.      Each phone will yield two 100-minute calling cards equally 1800 minutes of talk time for our troops!

box tops and labels for education

We currently have 131 Box Tops but we want to beat our last year’s total of 425 Box Tops!

chapter Scholarship - Applications must be in to the Scholarship Committee by February 1st.   If you have a loved one who would like to apply, contact the Secretary for the application.

from the west

HAPPY NEW YEAR IN 2012 TO ALL. Hope that your holidays were wonderful and that the new year ahead will be filled with many blessings.

Our next celebration, Valentines Day, Tuesday, Feb..14th will be with lots of LOBSTER ROLL ORDERS we hope. Help is needed. We will have flyers at our January meeting, and if everyone would take 2 or 3 (or more) to post around town we will cover a lot of territory. Help is also needed on Monday night, Feb. 13th, at the hall, and Tuesday A.M. to fill the orders, and THEN we need DRIVERS to deliver between 11:00 and 1:00 for all orders over 5.
Thank you in advance. Your help is so appreciated.

A Grateful,

Jan and David

from the east

Happy New Year to all of our Sisters and Brothers, both near and far. With the holidays now behind us and 2012 well on its way, winter is certainly in full swing. Our next couple of meetings will be held in the midst of colder weather, so we’re hoping that lots of our members will attend and enjoy some good times and company. If you have any difficulty getting to the meetings, please call us and we’ll arrange transportation for you. We’d love to see you there. Let’s brave the winter cold together.

Love to All,

Nancy and Ted

Behold this day a year anew

Rejoice in each new morning ray

What e’er tomorrow may ensue

Foresee ahead enlightened day.

Good Will

Falmouth

Many names were considered and the members tried to find a name that had something in common with other things in the town.  There is a park given to the town that is named Good Will.  So the members discussed this name for the Chapter and decided that good will was one of the principle things for which any Easter Star Chapter strives.  It is emphasized that the Chapter was not named for the Good Will Park.  The name was selected because of the meaning of the words.
