MOUNT CARMEL CHAPTER NO. 230 Instituted October 27, 1957 constituted April 27, 1958 North Reading After an extensive search for a name for the Chapter, the suggestion was made that the Chapter might be named for a place in the Bible. Several Bible references to Mount Carmel indicated that Faith and Wisdom were shown by Biblical characters, one of which was a hand-maiden whose faith brought her to Mount Carmel to Elisha. Another, Abigail had wisdom which wed her to King David. Mount Carmel embodying Faith and Wisdom seemed to be an apt name for this Chapter.
