LOCAL FOOD PANTRY

If each member will bring one or two canned or boxed food items to each meeting the Chapter will be able contribute to the local food pantry on a more consistent basis.

MASONIC OPERATION SUPPORT

Freemasons Helping Our Hospitalized Veterans

Because our veterans are not currently being provided with basic comfort needs and simple entertainment when they are hospitalized at the VA hospitals in the area, Palestine Chapter is participating with the Masonic 5th and 6th District in this worthwhile project.

We will be donating personal items for our WOMEN VETERANS  who are in Boston area Veterans' hospitals.  Please bring any of the following items, in a bag marked "Palestine Chapter" to the meeting and deposit them in the  box near the coat room.

Basic Comfort needs:  Combs, brushes, deodorant, soap, shaving cram, razors (disposable and/or electric), lotion, shampoo, no-rinse shampoo, body powder, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental floss, mouthwash, lip balm,  denture cleaner, nail clippers, emery boards, nail files, reading glasses, pre-paid calling cards.

Simple entertainment needs;  Crossword puzzle books, (large print), headphones, small hand-held radios and video games, cribbage boards, playing cards, dominoes, board games, stress balls, Nintendo Wii console and games.

Palestine Chapter No. 114

Instituted December 14, 1907

Constituted June 17, 1908

Newtonville

Some of the members who were present when the name of the Chapter was selected had been on a recent trip to the Holy Land.  They proposed the name Palestine where the Biblical lessons were taught.  All agreed that the name was very appropriate.
