1887 - "the Grand Secretary read a commission from Brother J. S. Conover, Most Worthy Grand Patron of The General Grand Chapter, empowering him to install Brother Joseph W. Hill, our Grand Patron, as Grand Marshal of the General Grand Chapter." The Grand Secretary performed this service.
1882 - Sister R. Emily Little, Past Matron of Vesta No. 10, who was Worthy Grand Associate Conductress and at that session of the General Grand Chapter by election was promoted to be Worthy Grand Conductress. One would register surprise that a Past Matron would be elected to General in General Grand Chapter. Sister Little traveled. We have found her in attendance at General Grand Chapter sessions with proxy privileges and vested in her General Grand Chapter titles we find her as a guest at the New York Grand Chapter session and again in Connecticut where she made herself "right at home" by informing the jurisdiction that Connecticut should affiliated with General Grand Chapter. Sister Little was the first woman to install in our Grand Chapter, served as Grand Treasurer for two years and for several years at the Grand Chapter sessions, she assisted as Assistant Grand Secretary receiving $5.00 and a later increase to $10.00.
